Adurasys Deliver Paper at International Six Sigma Conference at Royal Society of Edinburgh on 15 December 2008

THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SIX SIGMA - "Lean Six Sigma as a Vehicle for Successful Business Transformation"

Adurasys have been asked to deliver a paper at the Third International Conference on Six Sigma hosted at the Royal Society of Edinburgh 15-16 December 2008.

Presenting to internationally renowned practioners and academics from around the World; Melanie Smart will demonstrate that the DMAIC methodology is feasible for building a dynamic business process model. And utilising KPI s (Key Performance Indicators) to mathematically determine the performance of the Process, facilitating 'live' dynamic changes in quality, cost and delivery performance to be viewed at any level of the process map.

Establishing knowledge-based many-to-many relationships between processes and inclusion of vital areas such as risk, ensures the holistic realistic nature of the process model, making simulations and what-if scenarios more accurate and facilitates cause and effect prediction of current and future bottlenecks.

What is Systems Engineering?
Systems Engineering is essentially a process to ensure you do what you should for your customers throughout the entire life cycle, whether you provide a service or product. It can be broken into 6 elements:

State the problem
... identify customers & their needs, spec requirements & define the 'how' and system functions
Consider Alternatives ...based on performance, risk and cost
Modelling ... trials, clarify requirements -IDs bottlenecks, exposes duplication of effort, reduces cost
Integration ...brings all elements together, so they operate as a single unit.
Roll Out ...launch and run the system.
Assess...continue to evaluate system perfromance -measurement is key to providing the 'how' to control and improve it.
