5S –WORKPLACE ORGANISATION
This course is ‘first step’ towards lean manufacturing, clearly demonstrating the benefits of workshop organisation for efficient and safe working. Workplace Organisation provides the delegates with the opportunity to take ownership of their working environment, engendering a sense of pride in the workplace.
. This is a practical, shop floor and classroom based course, during which the delegates receive coaching in basic PDCA cycle and work in a team based environment.

POKA YOKE –MISTAKE PROOFING
A poka yoke device is simply a device which prevents a mistake being made, or makes a mistake obvious for corrective action. Poka Yoke devices are usually associated with prevention or detection of defectives within a manufacturing environment, however the process can be used in many other applications.
This course explains the philosophy behind poka-yoke, reviews actual examples, and encourages delegates to actively identify and implement poka yoke devices within their environment, using the PDCA approach
